I'm not sure about other kids Jacob's age...but he will NOT let us put a hat on him at all! No matter what we have tried he has always managed to take off the hat in a matter of seconds!
So today he was playing in his room...the usual, playing with the stereo and random toys...so while he was busy playing with all the buttons on the stereo I decided to put a hat on him...it actually is too small for him, but it's so cute and he never wore it because he doesn't like hats. To my surprise he left the hat on! For at least 15 minutes! Until I put another hat on him, or a 'beanie' or 'toque' (canadian) I'm not sure I spelled either of those 2 words right so forgive me. The toque/beanie is hideous...but I thought I'd try and see if he would leave it on... Anyway, he left that one on as well and then the 3rd and 4th hat I tried were rejected...(was I bored today or what?) So, although this might seem very unimportant to the majority of you...to me this was HUGE this means we can actually keep his little head warm this winter when we're out! And it couldn't have happened at a better time...because it snowed in Eden today! That means it won't be long before it snows here too.
I must say I'm getting excited about Christmas...it's almost 2 months away! Yay! Once upon a time I used to be a Grinch, but like I said to my brother in law the other day...I think I was just focusing on the wrong things! So bring on the winter! We're ready!

That is adorable! Benjamin absolutely will NOT wear a hat. I have tried and tried. It just started this summer though. Last winter he would try to keep it on and if I could distract him long enough he would. Yeah we told Benjamin there is a baby in mommies tummy but he has no idea what that means.

In NC we called them toboggans! Imagine what people thought when I came out here and asked if anyone had one for me to put on my head when it got cold!
He IS such a stud bucket- I can't believe how much he's grown from the other day!
I too got Slade to wear a smallish beanie/toboggan on the walk to church today, but shortly thereafter it came off for good. I've been wearing a hat this weekend b/c I didn't feel like fixing my hair and Slade thinks its pretty funny and keeps taking it off. Now he's noticing Mark's hat too. We joke and put them on his head -I'm hoping he'll start to allow them b/c he's an absolute doll with them (well, ok w/ out them too, but much more fun with them)!
glad we got to visit for a sec. the other day. mark said Grants' stabilizing and they should know for sure tomorrow if he'll get it or not...pray.
Cute cute cute! Kaylee used to let us put hats on her, but not anymore. Hopefully she'll decide beanies are okay since it's freezing!!!
